In Memory

We mourn the loss of Peter Harry Topolewski the original METAL Wolf Pack member. Pete or Pops to his kids, was born in 1933 in Renwer, Manitoba on a humble farm to parents Harry and Tekla. He passed on to heaven October 11, 2019 At his first opportunity he bolted west to British Columbia where he met his wife of 60 years Josephine. He worked in the road building and excavating business before going out on his own in several different companies. Pete founded BC Sandblasting, Biggar Construction, Topolewski America and was an early and dedicated backer of METAL Jeans. Always known as the hardest working guy around he was always first to the office or shop and the last to leave. A great family man with seven kids he was an inspiration to them all for integrity and hard work. A perfectionist all his life, he was the company's biggest critic in manufacturing the gear correctly to the highest standard.

His many hobbies and activities included hockey, curling, snowmobiling and skiing which he introduced his kids to the sport and remained active in it until his golden years. He loved to design and build products himself which included the swivel toolboxes now manufactured by METAL. His creativity and ambition took him to the road building industry, sandblasting and painting business; forestry and land development throughout North America.

As Pops slowed down he enjoyed time in business with some of his sons always guiding and encouraging them with the enthusiasm of a 20 year old. Never one to quit, it was his calming disposition and words of optimism that kept everyone and everything going. Soft spoken with a great sense of humor he will be dearly missed by his family, friends and business associates.

He bids farewell to his beautiful wife Josephine, his 5 sons and one daughter and several grandchildren and great children. He was predeceased by his son Michael. Until we see you again, save us a spot up there.
